To enhance MPS’s digital presence, WordPress, an editor-friendly content management system (CMS) was selected. The site was then redeveloped with WooCommerce as the ecommerce backbone. WooCommerce is an open-source ecommerce plugin exclusively designed for use within the WordPress Platform.

For MPS’s large product catalog, developers extended the typical WooCommerce setup with sophisticated, custom functionality for over 4,000 parts. The custom work from Americaneagle.com distributed the part specifications across searchable tables on the category level and connected the detailed product catalog to their single sign-on system, called MPServiceNet.

The new, thoughtfully-designed WordPress site enhances the customer experience for distributors and salespeople throughout North America. The order and quote data are tied to the site from MPS’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. An automated data synch updates those data details each night. Each day, users are provided up-to-date information about orders, status, shipment breakdown, account pricing, and purchase orders. With up-to-date product data and instant access to orders, reps are now able to pull order data for entire regions, send up-to-the-minute pricing, download product specs, and export individual line-item data for any purchase order.

Three custom locators were also built. They indexed company locations, distributor locations, and sales rep locations. The first two, company and distributors, were built using a custom Google Maps integration with dual interaction between each list’s data and map pins. For the sales rep locations, Americaneagle.com built an interactive map of the United States and Canada so users can generate a list of reps in their selected territory.

Renown Health approached Americaneagle.com in December 2019 because of the agency’s extensive knowledge in healthcare implementations on Sitecore. The teams decided to partner together to make Renown’s vision a reality. Once the project kicked off, it went through various stages of discovery, definition, design, and development to reach the launch of a brand new, modern, and integrated website for the healthcare organization’s patient community.

The process began with in-depth research based on persona creation and user journey mapping. After identifying Renown’s specific target audiences, Americaneagle.com developed a robust technical and design strategy – to be built entirely on Sitecore’s Experience Accelerator 9.3 – that would allow the organization to best serve its users. Additionally, the agency developed an extensive content strategy using an experience-first approach with a heavy focus on data to inform decisions going forward.

Through content audits and strategic architecture, Americaneagle.com set up easy-to-navigate page structures to consolidate the large, disorganized sitemap of the 6,000+ webpages Renown housed on their old websites. Additionally, the agency created a new interim search function on the homepage hero for direct, call-to-action, search features into Renown’s doctors and locations. Then, they integrated an enterprise level search tool to enhance the indexing of their various locations, providers, and health services – as well as marketing content like blogs and events with a faceted, easy-to-use site search.

Furthermore, the rebuild included integrations with various systems such as Healthwise to dynamically display educational health content throughout the website to help grow Renown’s domain authority. It also included integration with Sitecore Connect for Salesforce Marketing Cloud to increase marketing productivity and actionable results. Other integrations included MSOW, WooCommerce, and Hawksearch.

The technical vision within the new WordPress solution provided a fully integrated multisite experience within a singularly branded website. The translation functionality of the new site has exceeded original expectations. English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese-speaking clients are now efficiently using the new JBT site. The Chinese language functionality has been successfully tested within China and will soon be live on the site.

Internally, the JBT team is most impressed with the website’s new publishing flow. Where there used to be many confusing levels of access and content contributors who were all dependent upon one individual to do the approving and posting, there is now a sophisticated and successful content management flow which integrates both Bespoke and Oasis. Organization of the content, priorities, approvals and publishing has improved immeasurably. For the growing team of content contributors, WordPress has been an efficient solution to learn and use.

This complex platform migration of the JBT website was on budget and on time. For site users who had grown accustomed to the previous site’s URL structure, navigation and content, the new environment provided an intuitive, nearly unnoticeable transition. Behind the scenes, the site has shown marked improvement. Google Lighthouse performance scores, which measure speed and mobile success, are now in the 90s.
